It's Your Rapture
Things you should consider
How often have you actually sat and thought about Your Rapture? Are you ready for it? Do you know completely and totally, in your
heart and soul, that you are ready to go to the Lord Jesus Christ, if you die this very moment?
Please allow me to cover some of my own history before I can move onto the subject of this writing.
In the later part of February of 2004 I spent six days in the hospital, for what was first thought to be heart trouble. As various test, were
compared the diagnostics indicated that, my Tegretol had been retained at an unacceptable level. This was caused by a pain medication
from a January surgery. The inth from 2001 until then. All of which I fully believe that our Lord and Savior had been with me, as well as
the surgeons.
I came to know Jesus Christ in those six days of February. I had been a smoker for more than 35 years,
of which many times I have tried to quit and failed. I failed to do so even after being in the hospital, and near death for 2 ½ months in 2001. The first two
months I was unaware I had been hospitalized.
While I was in the hospital in February 2004, No one knew I was “feeling” different. I myself didn’t realize I had began to change. I had began to listen to
Gospel stations on the hospital television, (a first for me). Unrealized, I was being drawn into the subjects, conversations and messages with eager interest.
My wife and granddaughter came for a visit one evening. That night I told my wife, Marti, to throw away the cigarettes on my computer desk. While on the
way back home that evening, our granddaughter told my wife “grandmama there is something different about pepaw”. (The name she first started to call
me, instead of Grandpa, from the time that she started to put words together). On the next nights visit some adds for Mel Gibson’s, The Passion of The
Christ was being broadcast. My granddaughter said, that they wanted to go see it when it came to the theaters nearby. I told them that if they didn’t mind I
would like to go with them. Well that didn’t take long to be an affirmative. That night on the ride home our granddaughter said, “see Grandma, I told you
that there was something different about Pepaw”.
After I was back home for a while, I decided to check on my emails. I sat down at my desk, turned on my 'puter, then noticed the cigarettes still on my desk
as I had left them. I smiled to myself and thought, yeah. She didn't buy it. She figured I would just go spend more money to start again.
Out of pure instinct I started to reach for the open pack. But before my hand even got into motion to get that pack. My mind said, I don't need those things,
I've got Jesus. I have never touched another one, I haven’t wanted one, it doesn’t bother me to be around other smokers. I took a photo of the carton and
pack of cigarettes. I have kept that photo on my computer. As a visual reminder of Gods grace.
From a list of Scripture references for different moods sent to me by a friend.
God, I can’t do it.
God says: My grace is sufficient;
9. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my
infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses
for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong..
II Corinthians 12:9&10 KJV
I will go more into that list later.
I think, that I was having a “pity- party.” As a friend refers to when one feels, say “at the end of ones wits." I think that God was sending me a “for what
ever ails ya,” as my mother would say. For my situation of feeling as though I was ready to give up after four years of hospitals and surgeries.
I don’t really know at what moment, Jesus, came into my heart. Some reading this may think that I could not be saved without saying the sinners prayer. I
didn’t know there was such a thing as a sinners prayer. I know I felt more relaxed and calm than I ever have. I do know that Jesus Christ can and will come
to us when we let ourselves turn to Him. I believe that, He led me into taking an interest in the 700 Club and others.
I believe that, He “secretly” (for lack of any better word I know) slipped into my heart that week. I believe it, because I didn’t neglect listening and enjoying
the teaching I was “secretly” getting from our Lord and Father. I believe it because, as soon as I was released from the hospital. The first thing I wanted to
do was find a small local church to attend.
A Psalm of David
Psalm 138
8. The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. KJV
My wife and I started to attend and joined a small church. We were welcomed as “family” from the first visit there. We refer to the members as our “church
family”.
It was during a revival that we first visited the church. The first night at the end of the service I went to the alter, got on my knees and thanked the Lord for
coming into my heart. One of our favorite songs is “Forever Changed”.
2 Corinthians 5:17
17. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. KJV
I only know that suddenly, I couldn’t listen to enough. I was mesmerized by the messages from the Speakers. One morning a couple weeks later I was
making a pot of coffee. Right in the middle of counting scoops it hit me. The answers rushed into me, I felt a warm wave begin at the back of my neck. It
moved down over my shoulders and down my back, I had to drop to my knees right there and then. I thanked God for lighting the way for me to see.
I was given answers I wasn't asking. I know now, I was chosen to pass this message on. I had accepted Jesus Christ as my savior. Then God put this message
in my heart.
I am ready for my rapture. I have Christ Jesus within my soul, do you? If you do not have Jesus in your heart, it is something you must do. When you die,
you will not be given a second chance. Once Satan has you, it's all over. It’s hellfire for all eternity.
Hey, your not dealing with a local deputy, who pulls you over cause your tag sticker has run out last month. “Oh, No I meant to get that tag done. I really
intended to get that done. May get you a second chance with the deputy? “I really intended to get around to that.” Won't get you a second chance with the
devil, there is no compassion, no patience, he gives no quarter for changing minds. When your time runs out and you take that last breath, are you sure you
will be ready? If you haven't given your heart to Jesus Christ, and accepted his eternal salvation, the instant you exhale that final breath, Satan will have
your soul in Hell for all eternity. Don’t let the movie writers lines fool you when the bad guy gets his [up-in-coaming] you can most likely figure his “oh God
” Exclamation is only heard by Satan with a very satisfied smile.
We're not talking to the power company supervisor. You may get an extension before its lights out. Jesus wants to give you an exception. He is the light of
life.
12. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of
life. John 8:12
The Devil has light for you too, but it will be hellfire hot light.
Please consider this message God has sent to you. He sends many each and every day, but none of us sees/feels/hears them all. Some of us seek his word, ask
with your heart and it will be given.
9. And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10. For every one that asketh
receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Luke 9: 9-10
Ask your boss for another chance when you are late for work. Perhaps he will do so. You won't be able to ask Jesus for another chance when your late
accepting his love, his gift of everlasting life.
Regardless if you die in the next few minutes, or if the Rapture as taught by John in Revelation befalls mankind one week after you read this. You will have
already seen, know, or come to know the wrath of God for the ungodly. Christians and non-Christians have died for thousands of years. As the Rapture of
the writings of John has not been written into our history books. Rest assured it is to come. If you pass away unprepared to spend eternity with Jesus Christ,
you will spend eternity in Hell in the Lake of Fire.
12. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the
dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death
and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14. And death and hell were cast into the lake
of fire. This is the second death. 15. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 20:12-15 KJV
Just get on your knees right now and ask Jesus to come into your heart. He is a good listener and a better forgiver. We all have sinned against God. His
love for us is so great that he gave, His only begotten Son to die for the sins of all mankind. John 3:16
Ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins. Jesus gives us a prayer in Matthew 6:9-13, which we can use every day. There are no prayers that need be practiced.
His sprit is all around you. Just say, I believe, I believe in you Jesus. I know that you are the one true Son of God. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross
to wash away my sins with your blood. I know that I have sinned in your eyes. Thank you Jesus for dying for my sins, and giving me your forgiveness and
everlasting love. In Matthew 6:14-15 Jesus explains forgiveness for us and by us.
Don’t try to aim for a perfect practiced prayer.
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they
may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Matt 6:5 (KJV)
Therefor pray from your heart if you are trying to pray the perfect prayer. Any prayer that comes from the heart fueled by true love, faith and belief in God
The Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost is a perfect prayer, God only requires true belief in His Son: Jesus Christ. Which is the only way to the
Father, for eternal salvation.
6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7. If ye had known me, ye should have known my
Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. John 14:6-7
Many will say that the Rapture has not happened yet. While this is true-at the time I write this.
Rest assured the time is close.
Even as you read this page. You have no guarantee of enough life to finish reading it. I didn't have a promise of time to complete this work. If you feel the
convicting power of the love of Jesus Christ. Do not continue reading. Follow your heart to God's love, pray for His forgiveness of your sins, and accept the
eternal gift of love and salvation found only in His son Jesus Christ.
The Prophecies of the Holy Bible, Gods Holy word are concluding all around us.
John 14
1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I
go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6Jesus
saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father
also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9Jesus saith unto him, Have
I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the
Father? 10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that
dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my
Father. 13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do
it.
15If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17Even
the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in
you.
18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me:
and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it
that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my
Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye
hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
25These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he
shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:
not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my
Father is greater than I. 29And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. 30Hereafter I will not talk much
with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. 31But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me
commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

The Folded Napkin
The Gospel of John (20: 7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just
thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly
folded, and was placed at the head of that stony coffin. Is that important? You’d better believe it, is that
significant? Absolutely Is it really significant? Yes
In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about
Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do w/ the Master and Servant, and every Jewish
boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was
exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait,
just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table,
until the master was finished.
Now if the master was done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean
his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear
the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, “I’m done”. But if the master got up from the
table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table,
because the servant knew that the folded napkin meant, “I’m not finished yet.” The folded napkin meant,
“I’m coming back ”
He is coming back
